The FLAGA Group has shaped the history of the LPG industry in the past

On 26 November 1947 Adolf Bauer founded a company to offer LPG for cooking and heating purposes. He named the company FLAGA, which is the abbreviation of the German word „Flaschengas“ (=bottle gas). With little financial means the company started to become an LPG trader. Back then LPG was delivered by rail car and filled into cylinders manually. Because of the economic uprise in the late 50’s LPG cylinders became quite common in households and businesses.
